Resurface or overlay
For surfaces that are worn but structurally sound, we mill the edges and place a fresh 1.5 inch lift.
Sealcoating
Two coat commercial grade sealer applied after crack filling, best done every three years.
Crack filling and pothole repair
Hot rubberized crack sealant and full depth patching before small damage becomes a rebuild.
Commercial lot with striping
Paving plus layout, ADA compliant stalls, signage and thermoplastic or paint striping.
Drainage and grading correction
Regrading, catch basins and swales so water leaves the pavement instead of sitting on it.

Ray Harlow started with one dump truck in 1996 and the company has stayed family run since. We own our paver, rollers and skid steers, so the crew on your property works for us and answers to us. If a job needs to wait a week for the right ground temperature, we tell you rather than laying mix that will not compact.

Asphalt questions answered
How long before I can drive on new asphalt?
Stay off it for at least 48 hours, and keep heavy vehicles, trailers and dumpsters off for 30 days. Fresh asphalt stays soft while it cures, so avoid parking in the same spot every day for the first few weeks and use plywood under jack stands or kickstands.
When is it too cold to pave?
We pave from roughly April through October in Ohio. Hot mix needs a ground temperature above about 50 degrees to compact properly. Paving in the cold looks fine on day one and ravels apart the following spring, so we do not do it.
How often should a driveway be sealcoated?
Wait at least a full year after new paving so the surface can cure, then seal about every three years. Sealing more often than that builds up brittle layers that crack. Filling cracks promptly matters more than frequent sealing.
Can you pave over an existing concrete driveway?
Sometimes, but concrete joints reflect through asphalt as cracks within a couple of years. If the concrete is sound we can rubblize it and use it as base. If it is heaving we remove it. We will tell you which situation you have when we measure.
