About Kestrel
Second generation, same counter, same phone number
Ray Kestrel opened on Seneca in 1978 with one counter and a cash register. His daughter Nadine runs it now with eleven staff, half of whom are ASE certified parts specialists. The machine shop was added in 1994 because the local rebuilders kept closing and shops had nowhere to send a head.

Questions we get at the counter
Do you price match the chain stores?
We match any advertised local price on an identical part number, brand for brand. Bring the ad or pull it up on your phone at the counter. We do not match online marketplace listings from unknown sellers because we cannot warranty those parts.
How does the core charge work?
Alternators, starters, calipers and similar rebuildable parts carry a core deposit that shows separately on your receipt. Bring the old unit back in any condition, in the box the new one came in, and we refund the deposit to your original payment method. There is no time limit if you bought it here.
Can you get parts you do not stock?
Yes. We order from three regional warehouses twice a day, so most non stock parts land the same afternoon or the next morning by 9am. When you order we give you a specific time, and if the warehouse misses it we call you rather than letting you drive down.
Will you install parts for me?
We install wiper blades, bulbs and batteries at the curb at no charge. We are a parts store, not a repair shop, so anything requiring a lift goes to one of the shops we deliver to and we are happy to point you at three good ones near you.
