The room
A neighborhood bar that takes drinks seriously
Wes tended bar in Louisville for twelve years before opening the Copper Latch in 2015. The idea was simple: a place where a well-made old fashioned costs what a beer plus a few dollars costs, and where nobody makes you feel bad for ordering a light lager instead. The bourbon shelf grew because regulars kept asking, not because we planned it.

FAQ
Before you come in
Do you take reservations?
Not for the main bar, that stays first come. The back room can be reserved for parties of 15 to 35 with a minimum spend, usually booked two to three weeks ahead for weekends.
Is there a dress code or cover?
Neither. There is no cover any night of the week and no dress code beyond shoes and a shirt. Live music nights, roughly twice a month, occasionally have a $10 door for the band.
How late is the kitchen open?
Full menu until 1am Monday through Saturday and until 11pm on Sunday. On Friday and Saturday the bar keeps serving until 2am with a reduced snack list after 1.
Is there parking?
There is a small lot behind the building with about fourteen spaces and free street parking on the side streets after 6pm. Weekend nights, park a block off Bardstown and walk.
