Two people who cook your breakfast and shovel the walk
Ellen and Peter Alcott bought the farmhouse in 2004 after twenty years in Boston restaurants. Ellen cooks, Peter handles the grounds and the wood, and between them they have hosted guests every season since. There is no front desk and no staff, just the two of them.

Practical details
Is there a minimum stay?
Two nights on weekends year round and during foliage season, and three nights over Columbus Day weekend. Midweek single nights are usually available outside October.
Are children welcome?
Children ten and older are welcome in the Carriage suite, which has its own entrance. The main house rooms share thin farmhouse walls, so we keep those adults only.
What time is breakfast, and can we skip it?
Breakfast is served at one seating from 8am to 9:30am. If you need to leave earlier for a hike or a drive, tell us the night before and we will set out coffee, fruit and something baked.
How far is Woodstock village?
Ten minutes by car, about four miles. There is no bus, so you will want a vehicle. Parking on the property is free and right outside the door.
