A service shop that also sells bikes
Kestrel opened in 2007 with two mechanics and a rack of used bikes. Service is still more than half our revenue, which shapes everything: we stock the bikes we can keep running, and we keep parts for things we sold ten years ago. Every new bike comes with a free thirty day check once the cables have settled.

FAQ
Service questions
How long will a tune take?
Two business days is standard, and one day rush is available for forty dollars more when the bench allows. In June and July the queue can stretch to four days, and we post the current wait at the service counter.
Do I need a professional bike fit?
If you ride more than a few hours a week or have persistent knee, back, or hand pain, a fit usually pays for itself. If you are riding casually and comfortably, a free saddle height check at the counter may be all you need.
Do you service e-bikes?
Yes, including Bosch, Shimano, and Specialized motor systems, with diagnostics at sixty dollars that we waive if you go ahead with the repair. We do not open battery packs, which have to go back to the manufacturer.
Can you work on a bike I bought online?
Absolutely, and a lot of what comes in was bought elsewhere. New online bikes usually need a proper build check, which runs $95 and catches the loose headsets and untensioned wheels that arrive in the box.
