Almost anything in print, usually here in two days, with no shipping charge to pick it up.
Author events
Roughly three a month in the back room, seating for sixty, signing line after.
Reading groups
Fiction, translated literature, science, and horror, each meeting once a month with 10 percent off the pick.
Gift subscription
Three, six, or twelve months of a hand-chosen book, wrapped and mailed with a note.

The shop
Two floors, one very opinionated staff
Rivet & Page opened in a former hardware store in 2011 and kept the pegboard walls. Seven booksellers work the floor, and every shelf talker on the tables is signed by whoever wrote it, so you know whose taste you are trusting. The cat sleeps in poetry.

Good to know
How does selling used books work?
Bring them in any day before five, no appointment needed, and we sort them at the counter in about twenty minutes for a box or two. We pay cash or store credit worth thirty percent more, and anything we pass on can be left for donation.
Can you order a book you do not have?
Yes, for anything in print in the US, usually arriving in two business days. There is no shipping charge if you pick it up here, and we hold special orders for two weeks.
Do author events require tickets?
Most are free and unticketed, first come first seated, with about sixty chairs. A few larger visits are ticketed at fifteen dollars, redeemable toward the book that night.
Do you buy textbooks or rare books?
We take current-edition trade paperbacks and hardcovers, but we pass on textbooks, ex-library copies, and encyclopedias. For anything you believe is genuinely rare, email a photo first and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right buyer.
