One buyer, forty labels, no corporate planogram
Marlow and Fern opened in 2018 in a narrow storefront on Wickenden. Everything on the floor was chosen by hand by the owner, mostly from designers making a few hundred pieces at a time. We stock sizes 0 through 20 on the same racks rather than tucking larger sizes in a back corner, because that is how people actually shop.

Shopping with us
What is your return policy?
Full refund within fourteen days with tags attached and the receipt, and store credit through thirty days. Sale items are store credit only. Jewelry and swim are final sale for hygiene reasons, which is noted at the register before you buy.
What sizes do you carry?
Sizes 0 through 20 depending on the label, all stocked together on the floor. Independent designers size inconsistently, so our staff knows which brands run small and will pull two sizes without being asked.
Do you hold items?
Yes, for 48 hours with a phone call. Because our runs are small, popular pieces genuinely sell out and we cannot always reorder. If something you want is gone, ask, and we will tell you honestly whether it is coming back.
How does a styling appointment work?
You book an hour, tell us your size, budget and what you are shopping for, and a stylist pulls before you arrive. It is free, there is no minimum purchase, and plenty of people leave with nothing. Saturdays fill up fastest.
