Boho and goddess braids
Knotless base with curly hair left out, sealed so the pieces do not shed all week.
Cornrows and feed in braids
Straight backs, sides or a designed part pattern, from four to twenty plus rows.
Loc retwist and style
Retwist with a clarifying wash, plus optional barrel rolls or two strand styling.
Kids braiding, 12 and under
Shorter appointment, beads and cuffs included, and a tablet and snacks at the station.
Takedown service
Careful removal with detangling and a deep condition, half price if we installed them.

A braid bar built around your time
Adaeze Nwosu opened Cassava in 2017 after years of all day appointments in other people's kitchens. The whole shop is designed around finishing faster: two braiders on most full head styles, prepped hair, and appointments that actually start on time. Six braiders work here, all licensed in North Carolina, and we do not double book chairs.

FAQ
Appointment questions
Do I need to bring my own hair?
No. The price you see includes the braiding hair, pre stretched and in your chosen color. If you want a specific brand or an unusual color we do not stock, bring it and we take $25 off the service price.
How should my hair be prepped?
Come with hair washed, deep conditioned and fully blow dried within 48 hours. Damp hair cannot be braided and will mildew inside the braids. If you cannot do it yourself, add our wash and blow dry service for $55 when you book.
How long will the braids last?
Knotless box braids hold well for six to eight weeks. Past eight weeks the new growth puts real tension on your roots and raises the risk of breakage, so we do not recommend stretching it. Cornrows should come out at four to six weeks.
What is your late and cancellation policy?
A $40 deposit holds your appointment and applies to the service. More than 20 minutes late usually means we have to reschedule, since the next client is booked behind you. Cancel with 48 hours notice and the deposit moves to your new date.
