Reviews

What drivers tell us

“Dealer quoted me eleven hundred for all four corners. Ridgeline measured, said the rears had 6mm left, and did the fronts for a third of that.”

Nathan P., 2018 Highlander

“Dropped it at 8am with a grinding noise and picked it up at 2pm with a printout of what was worn.”

Shauna L., Meridian

“They found a stuck caliper two other shops missed while chasing a pull to the right.”

FAQ

Common brake questions

How do I know when my brakes need work?

A high pitched squeal on light braking is usually the wear indicator touching the rotor. Grinding means the pad material is gone and the rotor is being cut. A pulsing pedal usually means warped or unevenly worn rotors. Any of those, come in for the free inspection.

Do I have to replace rotors when I replace pads?

Not always. We measure rotor thickness against the manufacturer minimum stamped on the hub. If there is enough material and the surface is clean, we can resurface them for less than replacement.

How long does a brake job take?

Pads and rotors on one axle run about ninety minutes once the car is on the lift. Most cars dropped off before 11am go home the same day. Calipers and ABS work can add a day if a part has to come from a supplier.

Are cheap pads worth it?

We stock a value ceramic line and a premium line and we will quote both. The value line is fine for a commuter car. If you tow, drive the mountains or run a heavy truck, the premium pad and coated rotor will outlast the difference in price.
