Two eggs, hash, and biscuit
The house plate, with crisped hash browns and a scratch buttermilk biscuit.
Biscuits mixed every morning, hash browns pressed on the flat top until the edges shatter, and eggs cooked the way you actually asked.
Everything is made here except the bread, which comes from a bakery four blocks over.

Rita and Marcus Doyle took over the Bannock Street space in 2007 with fifteen tables and a single flat top. The sourdough starter is older than the restaurant and the biscuit recipe came off Rita's mother's index card. We still do not take reservations, because we would rather everyone have the same shot at a table on a Saturday.
“The hash browns are the crispiest in Boise and I will argue with anyone about it.”
Kelsey V., Boise regular
“We waited forty minutes on a Sunday and it was still worth it. The chorizo skillet is enormous and it is genuinely spicy.”

“They remake an egg without a word or an attitude if it comes out wrong. That alone earns my loyalty.”

No, we are first come first served. Put your name on the waitlist from your phone and we will text you, which lets you wait at the coffee shop on the corner instead of standing on the sidewalk.
Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 11:30am usually runs thirty five to fifty minutes. Before 8am or after noon you will typically walk right in. Weekdays there is rarely a wait at all.
Yes on both. We keep gluten free bread and cook eggs and potatoes on a separate section of the flat top, though our kitchen is not a gluten free facility. Vegetarian versions of the skillet and the hash are on the menu.
The Bannock garage is half a block east and is free for the first hour on weekends. Street meters on Bannock are free before 9am and all day Sunday.
We are on Bannock between 11th and 12th with the green awning. Call for large parties of eight or more so we can put tables together.
