We are a student led community two blocks from campus. Free dinner on Tuesdays, small groups all week, and a Thursday gathering where you can show up knowing nobody and leave knowing people.

A week serving alongside a partner organization, with scholarships available to anyone.

Eight weeks living, working and training with students from other campuses.
Who we are
Student led, staff supported, open to anyone
Anchor has been at Kansas State since 1998 and is led by five full time staff alongside about forty student leaders. We are a Christian ministry and we are honest about that, but you do not have to believe anything to eat dinner here, join a group or ask hard questions. Plenty of people in the room are still working things out.

FAQ
Questions new students ask
Do I have to be a Christian to come?
No. Students come from every background, including people who are not religious at all. You can eat, join a group, ask questions and disagree out loud. Nobody will corner you, and nobody tracks who believes what.
What actually happens on a Thursday night?
Doors open at 6:45 with people just talking. There is about twenty minutes of music, a half hour talk from scripture, and then most people stay another hour. It is over by 8:15, and you can leave whenever you want without anyone stopping you.
How do I join a small group mid semester?
Just tell us and we will place you within a week. Groups stay open all year because students transfer, change majors and change schedules constantly. There is no catch up material to read first.
Can I afford the trips?
Yes. Every trip has scholarship funding from our donors, and no student has been left behind over money in the years we have run them. Tell a staff member what you can do and we handle the rest privately.
