How they are made
One pour table, no fragrance shortcuts
Slow Wick started in a home kitchen in 2018 and moved to East Main a year later when the neighbors stopped finding it charming. We pour soy wax with cotton wicks and blend our own fragrance loads, testing every new scent through three full burns before it goes on the shelf. Every jar is labeled with its pour date.

Common questions
How long does a candle burn?
The nine ounce jar runs about fifty hours, and the four ounce about twenty-two. Burn it two to three hours the first time so the melt pool reaches the edge, which prevents tunneling for the rest of its life.
What happens in a pour your own session?
About ninety minutes at the blending bar, smelling oils, building a blend with our help, and pouring your own nine ounce jar. The wax sets during the session so you leave with it, though it needs two days before the first burn.
How does the refill program work?
Bring back any Slow Wick jar in any condition and we take eight dollars off a refill in the same scent or a different one. We clean and rewick it here, so there is nothing to prep at home.
How much lead time do wedding favors need?
Four weeks for orders up to two hundred tins, and six for anything larger or with a custom scent. Rush orders are sometimes possible, so call before assuming the answer is no.
