Rooms by age, and what each week costs
Tuition is weekly and includes meals, snacks, diapers and all supplies. There is no separate registration fee after the first year.
Toddler room, 15 months to 2 years
Five children per teacher, potty learning at your child's pace, outdoor time twice daily.
Twos and threes
Eight children per teacher, structured play, early literacy and a real nap room.
Pre K, ages 4 and 5
Kindergarten readiness in letters, numbers and self management, with a Virginia aligned curriculum.
Part time schedule, 3 days
Monday, Wednesday and Friday only, offered when a room has space.
Summer camp, ages 5 to 9
June through August for school age children, with field trips on Thursdays.
About our center
Eighteen years, and half our teachers have been here over five
Willow Lane opened on Forest Hill Avenue in 2007 and is licensed by the Virginia Department of Education. We serve 96 children across eight classrooms. Turnover is the thing that hurts children most in childcare, so we pay above the local average and provide health coverage, and it shows in how long our teachers stay.

FAQ
Questions from parents
Do you have openings right now?
It depends on the room. Infant spots are the tightest and usually have a three to six month wait, while pre K often has space. Call us with your child's age and your target start date and we will tell you honestly where you would sit on the list. There is no fee to be on it.
What does tuition include?
Everything except a change of clothes. Meals, snacks, diapers, wipes, formula if we stock your brand, and all classroom supplies are included in the weekly rate. There are no surprise supply fees or field trip charges during the school year.
What is your sick child policy?
We ask that children stay home with a fever over 100.4, vomiting, diarrhea, or an undiagnosed rash, and return 24 hours after symptoms end without medication. If a child becomes ill here we call you right away and keep them comfortable in the office until pickup. Tuition is not prorated for sick days, which is how we keep teachers paid.
Can I come see my child during the day?
Yes, any time, without calling ahead. Parents have access to their child's classroom during operating hours. We also have a nursing room for mothers who want to come feed during the day.
