About the store
Same family, same corner, since 1979
Walt Kessel opened the store in 1979 selling ranch work clothes. His granddaughter Dana runs it now, and while the mix has widened, the buying rule has not changed: if it will not survive two Montana winters, it does not go on the rack. Eleven staff, most of whom have been here more than five years.

Shopping at the store
Do you hem jeans, and how long does it take?
Yes, free with any denim purchase. Most days we can hem while you finish shopping, about thirty minutes. During the fall rush it may be next day, and we will ship it to you at no charge if you live out of town.
What sizes do you actually stock?
Men's waists 28 through 46 and inseams 28 through 36, women's 00 through 20, and youth 2T through 16. We stock tall and short inseams rather than expecting you to hem a 34 into a 29. Anything we carry but do not have in your size can be ordered without a fee.
What is your return policy?
Sixty days with a receipt for a full refund on unworn items. If something you bought failed early through normal use, bring it in worn and we will work it out with you, which is usually a warranty claim we file with the brand on your behalf.
How do I know which work boot I need?
It depends on whether your job requires a safety toe, how much you are on concrete versus uneven ground, and how wet you get. Come in, we will measure both feet, and we will tell you when a $180 boot is a better choice for you than a $340 one.
