How we operate
A production kitchen built around office schedules
Meridian runs out of a Fulton Street production kitchen with a delivery fleet sized so no driver carries more than four stops in a lunch window. We have catered for Chicago law firms, agencies and hospital systems since 2010. Our office manager clients care about two things above all, that the food arrives when promised and that the person with a nut allergy is safe, and we build around those.

Ordering and logistics
How much notice do you need?
Twenty four hours for drop off catering up to 50 guests, 72 hours over that, and two weeks for full service events with staffing and rentals. Same day boxed lunches are sometimes possible before 9am, call and ask.
How do you handle allergies and dietary restrictions?
Tell us the count and the restriction when you order. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and dairy free items are prepared separately and individually labeled with the guest name when you provide one. We are not an allergen free facility, so we disclose cross contact risk for severe allergies.
What is your cancellation policy?
Drop off orders can be cancelled without charge up to 24 hours before delivery. Inside 24 hours we bill 50 percent, and inside four hours the full amount, because the food is already produced. Staffed events follow the terms in the signed event order.
Do you handle building access and setup?
Yes. Give us the dock, freight elevator and security instructions when you book and our driver handles it. Standard drop off includes setup on your table with serving utensils, and we return within two hours for chafing equipment.
