How we build
The shade range came before the launch date
Verano delayed its first launch by nine months to finish the deep end of the foundation range, because launching light to medium first and extending later is exactly the pattern we started the brand to avoid. Every shade is tested in daylight and in flash on real faces before it ships. Formulas are made in California and we are certified cruelty free.

Shade and formula questions
How do I pick a shade online without seeing it?
Start with the shade finder, which asks about undertone and your current match in other brands, then order the twelve dollar sample card kit if you want certainty. The kit cost is credited against your first full size foundation. If the finder gets it wrong, the exchange is free.
What does a free shade exchange actually cover?
One exchange per foundation or concealer within sixty days, including a prepaid return label, even if the bottle has been used. We would rather eat the cost than have you keep a bottle you will not wear. Additional exchanges on the same order are handled case by case.
Will this oxidize or turn orange on me?
The formula is stabilized to limit oxidation, but a shade that looks slightly light on application and then settles is normal within about ten minutes. Turning noticeably orange usually means the undertone is wrong rather than the depth, and moving to a neutral or cool version of the same number fixes it. Our care team can look at a photo and tell you which.
Is the range suitable for sensitive or acne prone skin?
The complexion range is fragrance free and non comedogenic tested, which helps, though no formula is safe for everyone. Full ingredient lists are on every product page so you can check against known triggers. Patch test on your jaw for a couple of days if you react easily.
