We built Fifth Position around families who want their kids to learn real technique without living at the studio. Our faculty trained professionally and teach a graded syllabus, but we run a single June recital rather than a competition circuit, so the season stays affordable and the calendar stays sane.

Anything they can move in, plus bare feet or socks, for a trial. Once enrolled, ballet levels have a simple dress code of leotard, tights and ballet shoes, and hip hop just needs sneakers with a clean sole.
The season runs September to June and you can join any time there is space in a level. Registration is $40 per student annually. Tuition is prorated when you start mid month.
No. Most students do it and love it, but you can take class all year and opt out. If you opt out you skip the costume charge and the recital fee entirely.
Faculty assess ankle and core strength, alignment and years of consistent ballet training, usually not before age eleven. It is never based on age alone, and going up too early causes injuries we would rather avoid.
