About us
Eleven walkers who know the same dogs every week
Sidewalk Society started in 2017 with one walker and a route through Congress Park. We assign every dog a primary walker and one named backup, because a reactive dog on a new leash handler is a bad afternoon for everyone. All walkers are employees, insured and bonded, and trained on leash handling and basic canine first aid.

FAQ
Questions before you book
How do you get into my home?
Most clients use a lockbox or a keypad code, which we prefer over holding keys. If we do hold a key it is tagged with a code rather than your address and stored in a locked cabinet at the office.
What happens if my regular walker is sick?
Your named backup walker covers the visit. They have already met your dog at some point and have the same handling notes. You get a text before the visit so you are never surprised by a different face on the camera.
Do you walk reactive or senior dogs?
Yes, with a longer meet and greet first. Reactive dogs get solo walks on quieter routes, never group walks. For seniors we can shorten the route and spend more of the time on a slow sniff walk, which tires them out just as well.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel by 8am the day of the walk at no charge. After that the visit is billed, because the walker has already built their route around it. Package credits do not expire, so a canceled week just shifts your visits later.
