About the shop
Started in a garage on the North Shore
Northbound started in 2020 when Erin Halvorsen got tired of buying winter gear designed for photo shoots. We now handle around 500 orders a month from a small warehouse on Superior Street. Every product page lists the temperature we actually tested the item at and who tested it.

Shipping and returns
How fast do orders ship?
Orders placed before 2pm Central on a business day usually go out the same day, and everything else goes out the next. Standard delivery runs two to five days in the lower 48. You get a tracking number by email the moment the label prints.
What is your return policy?
Sixty days from delivery on anything unworn outdoors, with the tags on. We email a prepaid label, there is no restocking fee, and refunds post within three business days of the package arriving back here.
Do you ship to Canada?
Yes. Canadian orders ship by tracked post and typically arrive in six to nine business days. Duties and taxes are collected at delivery by the carrier and are not included in our checkout total.
What if an item arrives damaged or wrong?
Email a photo to support and we ship a replacement the same day, before the wrong item comes back to us. You never pay return shipping on our mistake.
