About the studio
Two designers, sixty weddings, no subcontracting
Aimee Fontenot opened the studio above a King Street storefront in 2013 after eight years at a wholesale house. She and lead designer Rosa Villarreal design and install every event themselves, which caps us at about sixty weddings a year. We buy from three Carolina growers first and only go to import for what they cannot grow.

Wedding floral questions
What should we budget for wedding flowers?
Most Charleston weddings we take on land between $3,500 and $9,000. Personal flowers and centerpieces make up the base, and large ceremony installs are what push a budget higher. Tell us your number first and we will design to it honestly.
Can we get exactly the flowers in our inspiration photo?
Sometimes, and sometimes the variety is out of season or only grown for one week in the Netherlands. We will tell you which is which at the proposal stage and offer a lookalike stem instead of quietly substituting on the day.
Do you repurpose ceremony flowers at the reception?
Yes, and it saves real money. We build ceremony pieces on stands that break down, then move them to the bar, escort table or sweetheart table during cocktail hour. That move is a $250 labor add.
How do you book and what is the deposit?
A 30 percent deposit and a signed proposal hold your date. The design can keep evolving until 30 days out, when we finalize counts and the balance is due. We take one wedding per date.
