Owen Fitzgerald started shooting nonprofit galas in 2013 and built a team of five who now cover conferences across the Midwest. We read the run of show before we arrive, we know that the check presentation matters more than the salad course, and we stay out of the sightlines. Marketing teams keep booking us because the gallery lands while the event is still news.
“Our board chair posted photos from the gala before he got home. That has never happened with any other photographer we hired.”
Denise F., Nonprofit development director
“Three concurrent breakout tracks, three shooters, and every speaker got usable frames. The shot list they built was better than ours.”
Aaron P., Conference producer, Rosemont
“The headshot station cleared 140 attendees in six hours and people are still using those on LinkedIn.”
Lila M., Corporate marketing, Oak Brook
A preview gallery of thirty to fifty images goes out the same night, usually within three hours of the event ending. The full edited set lands within three business days. If you need press ready images before midnight, the rush edit add on covers that.
One shooter covers a single room event of up to about 300 people. Add a second when there are concurrent sessions, a separate reception, a step and repeat, or a room over 500. We will tell you honestly if one is enough, since overselling shooters is easy and obvious.
Ballrooms and theaters are usually dim on purpose, which is fine. We shoot fast lenses at high ISO and use bounced flash only where it will not disrupt a program. For award presentations we position for the stage wash rather than blasting the podium and ruining the mood in the room.
You receive an unlimited license for your organization's use, covering web, social, print, press, and internal materials, with no expiration. We keep copyright and may use selected frames in our own portfolio unless your event is confidential, in which case we sign whatever your legal team needs.
Give us the date, venue, headcount, and run of show if you have one. We will confirm availability and send a firm quote within a business day.
