Our family
Started with a pickup truck and a phone in the kitchen
Stanley Kowalski opened the Dorr Street store in 1968 selling fasteners out of a converted garage. His son Ray added the delivery trucks in the eighties. Ray's daughter Anna runs the counter now, and most of our customers have been buying here longer than she has been alive.

Common questions
Do I need to be a contractor to buy here?
No. Homeowners are welcome and pay the same shelf price. A charge account requires a business, but anyone can walk in and buy at the counter.
How does the charge account work?
Fill out a one page credit application and we usually approve within two business days. Terms are net 30, and every invoice can be tagged to a job name so your accounting matches your bids.
What is your delivery radius?
We run trucks through Toledo, Maumee, Perrysburg, Sylvania, and Bowling Green. Delivery is free on orders over 250 dollars and 35 dollars below that. Sites outside the radius are quoted case by case.
Can you order something you do not stock?
Usually yes. Most special orders arrive in two to four business days and we will call you with the price before we place it. There is no restocking fee if we made the ordering error.
