Stonebridge was founded in 2009 by Marcus Delaney after a decade at a wirehouse where the product of the month drove the conversation. The firm is a registered investment adviser held to a fiduciary standard at all times, and every planner here holds the CFP certification. We do not accept referral fees from anyone.
“They told me not to buy the annuity my last advisor was pushing and explained exactly why, with the numbers.”
Roberta E., Retired teacher, Middleton
“The RSU planning alone saved us more in taxes than four years of their fee. We had been exercising blind.”
Ajay and Priya S., Tech household, Madison
“We came in thinking we could not retire until seventy. The plan showed sixty five was realistic and what would have to be true.”
Doug W., Sun Prairie
It means our entire revenue comes from fees you pay us directly, and none from commissions, product sales, or referral arrangements. A fee based advisor can still earn commissions, which is a different thing despite the similar name. Ask any advisor how they are compensated and get the answer in writing.
No. Roughly a third of our planning clients keep their accounts exactly where they are, including in an employer plan we cannot touch. Planning and investment management are separate engagements here, and we will give you the allocation guidance to implement yourself if you prefer.
There is no asset minimum for planning engagements, which is deliberate, since people early in their careers often need the advice most. Investment management carries a minimum annual fee that makes it impractical below roughly two hundred thousand dollars, and we will say so plainly.
It is a free hour where you describe your situation and we describe how we would approach it, with no data gathering and no pitch. If we go forward you get a written engagement with the scope and fee before anything else. If we are not the right fit, we will name firms that are.
The first call is an hour at no cost. Bring your questions rather than your statements.
