What we fix
The jobs too small for a specialty contractor
Two hour minimum, then billed in half hour increments. Materials at cost.
Door and lock repair
Sticking doors planed and rehung, strike plates reset, deadbolts and smart locks installed.
Faucet, toilet and disposal swaps
Fixture replacement and running toilet repair. We stop short of anything behind a wall.
TV mounting and shelving
Studs found and hit, cables fished through the wall, floating shelves leveled and anchored.
Gutter cleaning and minor roof repair
Single story gutters cleared and flushed, loose downspouts resecured, flashing sealed.
Half day punch list
Four hours on whatever is on your list, prioritized together when we arrive.

Two trucks, both owner driven
Curtis Okonkwo spent eleven years as a commercial carpenter before starting Bolt & Bracket in 2015 because friends kept asking who fixes the small stuff. It is still just him and his partner Elias, so the person who quotes your job is the person who does it. We carry general liability and workers comp, and we will tell you when a job belongs to a licensed plumber or electrician instead.

Booking and pricing
How does the hourly rate work?
It is $95 an hour with a two hour minimum, billed in half hour blocks after that. There is no trip charge or fuel surcharge inside our service area. Materials are billed at what we paid, with the receipt attached to your invoice.
Do you buy the parts or do I?
Either works. If you want a specific fixture or paint color, buy it and have it on site. Otherwise we pick it up on the way and add it at cost. Store runs during the job are billed at the hourly rate, so having parts ready saves you money.
What jobs will you not take?
Anything needing a licensed trade: panel work, new circuits, gas lines, repiping, roof replacement and structural framing. We also skip second story exterior work. We keep a short list of licensed plumbers and electricians we refer to.
How soon can you come out?
Typical lead time is four to seven business days. We hold two emergency slots a week for things like a door that will not lock or a toilet that will not stop running, and those usually get filled the same day you call.
