Usually within two to four days. A care manager does a free in home assessment first, typically within twenty four hours of your call, and we match caregivers after that. Hospital discharges can often be covered faster if you call us before the discharge date.

Personal care runs thirty four dollars an hour with a four hour shift minimum. Medicare does not pay for this type of non medical care. Long term care insurance usually does, and we bill those policies directly. Some veterans qualify for VA Aid and Attendance benefits, which we can point you toward.

Tell the care manager and we replace them, no explanation required and no charge. Fit matters enormously in someone's home and not every pairing works. We would far rather change caregivers in week one than lose a client in month three.

Our aides provide medication reminders and can hand a prepared pill organizer to the client, which is what North Carolina allows for non medical caregivers. Administering injections, managing wounds or changing catheters requires a licensed nurse, and we will tell you when that is what the situation calls for.
