How it works
Two semesters, one day a week, parent taught
Fees cover facility, insurance and materials. Every parent also serves in one role each semester.
Per student class fee
Set by each class based on consumables, from a writing workshop to a full chemistry lab.
High school lab sciences
Biology, chemistry and physics with real lab hours and a transcript friendly lab log.
Elementary enrichment block
Art, nature study, music and PE for K through 5 in rotating six week units.
Speech and debate club
NCFCA style practice with two in house tournaments each year.
Nursery and toddler care
Staffed care for under fours so teaching parents can be in the classroom.
Who we are
Parent led, volunteer run, no paid staff
Willow Creek started in 2013 with six families around a kitchen table and now serves 84. Every class is taught by a parent, and every family serves in one role each semester, whether teaching, assisting, running the nursery or handling setup. Decisions are made by an elected steering committee of five parents.

FAQ
New family questions
Do I have to teach a class to join?
You must serve in one role each semester, but teaching is only one option. Families also assist in classrooms, run the nursery, handle registration, or manage setup and cleanup. New families often start as an assistant to see how a class runs first.
When does registration open?
Returning families register in April for fall and in November for spring, then remaining spots open to new families two weeks later. Popular lab sciences fill quickly, so joining the interest list is the best way to hear the moment registration opens.
Is there a statement of faith or a required curriculum?
We are a Christian co-op and ask families to agree to a basic statement of faith, which is posted in full on our registration page. We do not require any particular curriculum at home. What you teach the other four days is entirely your call.
What if my child is behind or ahead of grade level?
Classes are grouped by ability and readiness rather than strictly by age. Talk to the teaching parent before registering and they will tell you honestly whether a student is a good fit, or suggest the class one level up or down.
