Design fees are flat per room, and trade pricing on furnishings is passed through to you.
Single room design
Floor plan, full furnishings scheme, sourcing and an install day.

Coordinated palette and plan across the main living spaces, phased if you prefer.

Warm rooms that suit the house they are in
Corinne Boyd opened Fig & Slate in 2015 after years working for a Charleston design firm. We decorate historic Savannah houses and new construction alike, and we work with what you already own whenever it deserves to stay. There is no house style you have to accept.

FAQ
Working with a decorator
What is the difference between a decorator and an interior designer?
Decorating covers furnishings, color, textiles, lighting and styling in existing spaces. Interior design also covers structural changes and construction drawings. If you are moving walls or plumbing, we will bring in a designer or architect to work alongside us.
How do you charge?
A flat design fee per room based on scope, quoted after the consultation. Furnishings are billed at our trade price with the discount passed through to you, so you are not paying a markup on top of the fee.
Do I have to replace everything I own?
No, and we would usually rather not. Most projects keep several existing pieces, sometimes reupholstered or refinished. Tell us what has to stay and we design around it.
How long does a room take?
About eight to fourteen weeks from design approval, which is mostly furniture lead time rather than our work. Custom upholstery and drapery run longest, so we order those first and install everything on one day.
