Fully custom letterpress suite
Original artwork, custom illustration, and two rounds of proofs before plates are made.
Guest envelope addressing
Digital calligraphy printed directly on envelopes, or hand calligraphy by request.

Our studio
A small press that still sets its own plates
Rebecca started Marigold in a shared studio on Westminster with one tabletop press and a stack of cotton paper. Everything still runs through our own presses, so if a color needs adjusting we can pull a proof the same afternoon. We take on about sixty couples a year, which keeps the proofing conversation direct.

FAQ
Questions we get every week
How many invitations should I order?
Order one per household, not per guest, then add fifteen extras for keepsakes and last minute additions. Reprinting a short run costs almost as much as the original order, so the extras are cheap insurance.
When should invitations go in the mail?
Six to eight weeks before the wedding for a local guest list, and twelve weeks if most guests are traveling or the wedding is abroad. Save the dates go out eight to twelve months ahead.
What is the difference between letterpress and flat printing?
Letterpress presses inked plates into thick cotton paper, leaving a visible impression you can feel. Flat printing sits on the surface and costs roughly half as much, so many couples letterpress the invitation and flat print the enclosures.
Can you work from a design I already have?
Yes, if you own the artwork and can send vector files. We will quote plate making and printing only. If the files are low resolution photos or screenshots we will need to redraw them, which we quote separately.
