Twelve sessions, 360 interviews, a written development plan and sponsor check ins.
Focused support through the first quarter in a role, including a stakeholder map.
Eight to twelve interviews synthesized into themes, delivered to the leader first.
Offsites and working sessions where the real disagreement finally gets said out loud.
Six directors, six months, monthly group sessions plus two individual sessions each.
I am Alison Northcott. I ran engineering and operations organizations of up to 400 people before training as a coach in 2013. Most of my clients are strong individual performers who were promoted into a job nobody explained to them. My engagements are sponsored by the company and confidential to the client, and I will not take work where that line is blurred.
“The 360 was uncomfortable and completely fair. Three of the themes I had heard for years and finally understood.”
Jordan A., VP Engineering
“I stopped doing my old job. That sounds obvious and it took four months and a coach to actually do it.”
Meredith C., Newly promoted director
“Alison facilitated the offsite where our leadership team finally named the thing everyone had been avoiding.”
Raj P., COO, healthcare technology
Nobody. Session content is confidential. What I share with your sponsor is limited to whether the engagement is on track and what broad development themes we agreed to publish together, and you see that summary before they do.
Behavior change in a leadership role requires trying something new, getting real feedback from your team, and adjusting. That cycle takes weeks. Shorter engagements produce good conversations and no observable difference to the people you lead.
About a fifth of my clients pay privately, most often when they are between roles or their organization has no coaching budget. The engagement structure is the same, minus the sponsor alignment calls.
Both, and I am explicit about which one I am doing. Pure non directive coaching is unhelpful when a leader genuinely lacks context for a decision. I will say clearly when I am offering an opinion from experience rather than coaching you toward your own.
Thirty minutes, no charge, no pitch. Fit matters more than credentials in this work and it is obvious quickly.
