About the store
Three generations of the Boucher family
Armand Boucher opened Corner Post in 1974 in a building that had been a feed store. His granddaughter Nicole runs it now with four employees, two of whom have been here over fifteen years. We keep about 18,000 items on 6,000 square feet, which means narrow aisles and a lot of bins, and we still sell fasteners individually because that is what people need.

Store questions
Do you price match the big box stores?
On identical brand and model items, yes, with a current ad or website listing. We cannot match on house brands they carry exclusively. Where we usually win anyway is quantity, since we sell one screw instead of a box of fifty.
Can you order something you do not stock?
Almost always. We order twice a week through our co op, and most special orders land in three to five business days with no deposit under $100. There is no upcharge for ordering.
Do you deliver?
We deliver within Burlington, Winooski and South Burlington for a flat $15 on orders over $50, usually next business day. Bagged goods like ice melt, mulch and pellets are the most common delivery, and we will carry them to a porch or garage.
Do you rent tools?
A small set: carpet stretchers, drain augers, wet vacs, a tile saw and two pressure washers. Rentals are half day or full day and need a card on file, no deposit. We do not rent anything gas powered beyond the pressure washers.
