The moment the trumpets start, the room changes

Five to ten musicians in full traje, playing the sones, boleros and rancheras your family actually requests. We arrive early, we know the order of a quinceanera, and we take song requests in advance.

About the group

A family group, two generations deep

Corazon de Oro started in 2005 with four cousins playing weekend serenatas in Maryvale. Today the group runs up to ten musicians including violin, vihuela, guitarron and two trumpets, and half of us learned the repertoire from a father or an uncle in the same group. We rehearse weekly, which is why we can take a request you did not send us in advance.

•Full traje de charro for every performance
•Request list confirmed with you a week before
•We bring our own sound for outdoor events

“Arrived forty minutes early, found the coordinator, and knew the quinceanera order better than we did.”

FAQ

Booking questions

How far in advance should we book?

For a Saturday in spring or fall, two to three months is safe, since quinceanera and wedding season fills quickly. Serenatas and weeknight events can often be booked with a week of notice.

Can we request specific songs?

Yes, and we encourage it. Send your list when you book and we confirm which we already play and which we will rehearse. There is no extra charge for learning one or two new pieces.

How many musicians do we need?

Five works for a home serenata or a small room. Seven is our most common wedding and quinceanera size, and ten fills a large hall or an outdoor space without amplification.

What do you need at the venue?

For indoor events, just floor space roughly ten by ten feet. Outdoors we bring our own small PA and need one standard outlet within about fifty feet, or we can play acoustic for smaller crowds.
