NCNorthbridge Couples Therapy (503) 555-0134
Couples only, since 2013

The same fight, in a room with a referee

We only see couples. That means every clinician here works with conflict, disconnection, affair recovery and the slow drift daily, not as a sideline to individual practice.

How we work

About the practice

We do one thing

Northbridge was founded in 2013 by Alina Reyes after a decade of general practice where couples kept getting squeezed into a fifty minute individual format. Every clinician here has completed Gottman Level 3 or EFT externship training and carries a couples only caseload. We do not take one partner as an individual client, which keeps the room genuinely neutral.

•Couples only caseloads, no split loyalties
•Eighty minute sessions as standard, not an upcharge
•Evening slots through 8pm and Saturday mornings
•Telehealth across Oregon at the same rate

What couples tell us

“We had the same argument for four years. In session six we finally had a different one.”

Jordan and Nell F., Together nine years

“The assessment package was worth every dollar. Someone finally described our pattern back to us in plain language.”

“We chose the intensive because we live in Bend. Two days did more than we expected from months of weekly.”

FAQ

Before you call

Does couples therapy work if only one of us wants it?

Sometimes, but discernment counseling is usually the better starting point when one partner is unsure about staying. It is short term, structured around clarity rather than repair, and it does not push either person toward a decision they have not made.

Do you take insurance?

Most insurance requires a mental health diagnosis for one partner to cover couples work, which we generally do not think serves the relationship. We are out of network and provide a superbill you can submit. Ask your plan about out of network outpatient benefits.

How long does this take?

Most couples do the assessment package plus twelve to twenty sessions. Affair recovery and long standing disconnection usually run longer. Your clinician will give you an honest estimate after assessment rather than at the first call.

Can you help after an affair?

Yes, that is a significant part of our caseload. The early work is stabilization and honest disclosure, not immediate forgiveness, and it moves at the injured partner's pace. Some couples rebuild and some separate with far less damage than they would have alone.
