Prices below cover most cars and light trucks. Anything unusual gets quoted before we start.
Full synthetic oil change
Includes filter, fluid top off, tire rotation and a 27 point inspection with photos.
Brake pads and rotors, per axle
Quality pads and new rotors, hardware replaced rather than reused, road tested after.
Suspension and alignment
Struts, control arms, ball joints and a four wheel alignment on a Hunter rack.
Timing belt and water pump
Belt, tensioner, idlers and pump replaced together, since doing them separately costs you twice.
Pre purchase inspection
Ninety minutes on the lift before you buy a used car, with a written report and photos you can negotiate with.
About the shop
Two brothers, thirty one years, same building
Ray and Dale Dutton opened on Plainfield Avenue in 1994 with two bays and a borrowed lift. We have eight bays now and Ray's daughter runs the front counter. We fix all makes, including hybrids, and we still call before doing anything that was not on the estimate you approved.

FAQ
Questions before you drop off
Will taking my car here void the factory warranty?
No. Federal law protects your right to have maintenance and repairs done by an independent shop without losing your warranty. We use parts and fluids that meet the manufacturer's specification and we document every service so the record stands if a warranty claim ever comes up.
Do you charge for diagnostics?
Yes, 135 dollars for the first hour, because proper diagnosis takes scan tools, a scope and a technician's time. If you have us perform the repair we credit that hour against the bill. A free code read tells you almost nothing useful.
How long will my car be here?
Most maintenance and brake work is same day if you drop off before 9am. Larger jobs like timing belts or engine work usually run two days, partly depending on parts. We text you an updated pickup time as soon as the car is on the lift.
Can I bring my own parts?
We would rather you did not, and here is why. We cannot warranty a part we did not supply, so if it fails you pay the labor a second time. If you have a specific brand preference, tell us and we will source it.
