About the practice

Matching matters more than any single method

Riverstone started in 2018 because two therapists were tired of turning people away and having nowhere to send them. We built a group practice with deliberately mixed specialties so the intake question is which of us fits, not whether anyone is free. If we are not the right fit, we tell you and give you three real referrals.

•All clinicians licensed in Oregon as LPC, LCSW or LMFT
•In network with Regence, Providence, PacificSource, Moda and Aetna
•Evening appointments Monday through Thursday
•Telehealth available anywhere in Oregon

Reviews

In clients' words

“I had called six practices and every one of them had a waitlist. Riverstone got me a consult in two days and a real session the following week.”

Alex D., Individual therapy

“The consult call was the thing. I could tell in ten minutes she was someone I could talk to, and I had already wasted a year with the wrong fit.”

Renee W., Trauma therapy

“Our couples therapist gave us language for a fight we had been having for six years without knowing what it was about.”

FAQ

Before your first session

How do I know which therapist to pick?

You do not have to. Fill out the intake form describing what brings you in and your scheduling constraints, and our coordinator suggests one or two clinicians. You then get a free fifteen minute call with your match before booking anything.

Do you take insurance?

We are in network with Regence, Providence, PacificSource, Moda and Aetna. For other plans we provide a monthly superbill you can submit for out of network reimbursement. We verify your benefits and quote your expected cost before the first session.

What if I cannot afford the full fee?

We hold a set number of sliding scale spots starting at seventy dollars, released each quarter. Ask the coordinator whether any are open. If they are all full we will put you on the list and refer you to two local low cost clinics in the meantime.

Is telehealth as effective as coming in?

For most concerns the research shows comparable outcomes, and many clients prefer it for consistency. Some work, particularly certain trauma processing and family sessions, goes better in the room. Your therapist will tell you if they think in person matters for your case.
