Petal & File books ninety minutes for a structured manicure and does not double book chairs, which is the reason our work holds for three weeks instead of six days. Metal tools go through an autoclave between every client and files are single use. Our techs are licensed in Missouri and take continuing education each year on product chemistry.

Questions about your appointment
Why does a manicure here cost more than a walk in salon?
The appointment is ninety minutes with one tech on one client and no double booking, plus autoclave sterilization and single use files. The result is a set that lasts three weeks rather than one, so the cost per week is usually similar or lower. You are paying for time and prep, not the polish.
Will gel or extensions ruin my natural nails?
Product does not damage nails, improper application and removal does. Over filing the natural nail and picking product off are what cause thinning and peeling. We remove safely and will show you exactly how to avoid damage between visits.
How often do I need a fill?
Every two to three weeks for extensions and builder gel, because the apex moves forward as the nail grows and stops supporting the nail properly. Going four weeks or more usually means breakage or lifting, and rebalancing then takes longer and costs more. Book the next fill before you leave.
Can you fix a set from another salon?
Usually yes, though it takes an extra fifteen to thirty minutes and a fifteen dollar removal charge. Send a photo when you book so we can allocate enough time. If the natural nail underneath is badly thinned we may recommend a treatment period before new product goes on.
