Contact lens fitting

Focused on focusing, tracking and near vision, with a plain language report for parents.

Tear film testing and a written treatment plan rather than a sample and a shrug.
Medical eye visit
Red eye, floaters, injuries and diabetic eye checks, usually billed to medical insurance.
Glasses and lenses
Complete pair with digitally surfaced lenses and a one year scratch warranty.
About the practice
Independent, and staying that way
Dr. Nina Halvorsen opened Willow Creek in 2011 after eight years in a high volume retail setting where exams ran 15 minutes. The whole practice is built around the opposite of that. Two optometrists, four opticians, and one patient in each chair at a time.

FAQ
Common eye care questions
How often should I get an eye exam?
Most adults with stable vision do well with one exam every year to two years. If you wear contacts, have diabetes, or are over 60, we recommend yearly. Children should be checked before kindergarten and then annually.
Do you take my vision insurance?
We are in network with nine plans including VSP, EyeMed and the major local employer plans. Call with your member ID and we will check coverage and quote your out of pocket before you come in.
Can I get contacts and glasses at the same visit?
Yes. A contact lens fitting is added to your comprehensive exam and covers trial lenses and one follow up. You leave with a glasses prescription and a contact prescription, which are different documents.
Is dilation always required?
Not always. Our retinal camera gives us a wide view without drops for most healthy patients. We dilate when the images raise a question or when your history calls for it, and we will tell you why first.
