We know the farms by name because we drive out there
Field Note opened in 2008 with eight bulk bins and a handshake with two farms in Junction City. Our produce buyer still visits every grower we work with at least twice a season. Certified organic where it is available, and where a small farm cannot afford certification we say so on the sign instead of hiding it.

Shopping questions
How does buying in bulk work?
Weigh your empty container at the front, fill what you need, and write the bin number on the tag. Bringing your own jars takes five percent off the bulk total, and we have free paper bags if you forget.
Is everything in the store certified organic?
Most of it is, and anything that is not carries a sign explaining why, usually a small local farm that follows organic practice but cannot justify the certification cost. We would rather tell you than blur the line.
Do you deliver, and how much is it?
Yes, eight dollars flat across Lane County, and free on orders over $125. Order online by eight in the evening and it arrives the following day in a two hour window you choose.
Can I order something you do not normally carry?
If it comes through our distributors, we will bring in a case and give you ten percent off. Orders placed Monday usually land Thursday, and we will hold it at the front for a week.
