PDR questions
Will paintless dent repair work on my dent?
PDR works when the paint is unbroken and the metal has not been stretched too far. Round dents, door dings and most hail damage are ideal. Sharp creases, dents on the very edge of a panel and anything with cracked or chipped paint usually need a body shop, and we will tell you before charging anything.
Does insurance cover hail damage?
Comprehensive coverage typically covers hail with your deductible applied, and in most states a comprehensive claim does not raise your rate the way an at fault collision does. We prepare the estimate, meet the adjuster and file supplements when the initial estimate misses dents.
How long does a repair take?
A single door ding is usually under an hour. A panel with several dings runs two to four hours. Full hail vehicles take two to five days depending on dent count and whether interior panels have to come out for access.
Is PDR cheaper than a body shop?
For qualifying dents it is typically half to a third of the cost, with no rental car time and no repaint. It also preserves the factory finish, which matters at trade in, since a repainted panel shows up on a paint meter and reduces appraised value.
