Two pediatric specialists, one hallway, no chain ownership
Dr. Elena Ruiz and Dr. Samuel Kettering are both board certified in pediatric dentistry, which is two to three additional years of training after dental school focused on children. We have been at this location since 2010 and are independently owned, not part of a dental group.

Questions parents ask
When should my child first see a dentist?
By the first birthday or within six months of the first tooth, which is the recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The first visit is short, mostly a look and a conversation, and it sets up the habit early.
How do you handle a scared child?
We start with tell show do, meaning we explain each instrument, show it, then use it. Parents stay in the room. For children who need more, we offer nitrous oxide and desensitization visits where nothing is done except getting comfortable in the chair.
Do you take our insurance?
We are in network with most major Wisconsin plans including Delta Dental, Anthem and United Concordia, and we accept BadgerCare. Call with your member ID and we will verify your specific coverage before your appointment.
What counts as a dental emergency?
A knocked out permanent tooth, a tooth pushed out of position, facial swelling or pain that wakes your child at night. Call us immediately, even after hours, and the on call dentist will return your call. We hold same week slots for urgent cases.
