About me

Restaurant training, someone's actual kitchen

I spent seven years on the line in Phoenix and San Diego before going private in 2015. Cooking in a home kitchen is a different craft: one oven, unfamiliar knives and guests you will talk to. I plan every menu around what the host and their guests actually eat, not around what looks impressive on a plate, and I handle allergies as a first constraint rather than an afterthought.

FAQ

Booking questions

How does pricing work with groceries?

My rate covers planning, shopping time, cooking, service and cleanup. Groceries are billed separately at exactly what I paid, with receipts attached to the invoice. For a dinner party, groceries typically run $45 to $80 per guest depending on the menu.

What do you need from my kitchen?

An oven, a cooktop with at least four burners, counter space and a sink. I bring my own knives, small equipment and serving pieces if yours are short. I visit or ask for photos beforehand for parties over eight.

How far ahead should I book?

Two to three weeks for a weekday dinner and four to six for a Saturday in season, November through April. Weekly meal service starts with a two-week trial and then a standing day.

Can you cook around allergies and diets?

Yes, and I plan the whole menu around them rather than making one substitute plate. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, keto and nut allergies are all routine. Send restrictions when you inquire so the menu draft is right the first time.
