Sable Ridge is licensed by the Nevada Private Investigators Licensing Board and carries liability insurance. Our investigators came out of law enforcement and insurance special investigations units. We work heavily with attorneys, which shapes how we document everything: if it cannot be entered into evidence or defended in a deposition, it does not go in the report.

Before you hire an investigator
What does hiring an investigator cost?
Surveillance runs ninety five dollars per hour plus mileage, billed against a retainer that typically starts around fifteen hundred dollars. Background checks and locates are flat fee. We give you a written scope and estimated hours before starting and we account for every hour spent.
Is what you gather legal to use?
Yes, when it is gathered correctly. We surveil only from places where there is no reasonable expectation of privacy, we do not enter property, tap phones, install trackers on vehicles we lack authority to touch, or pull protected financial and phone records. Evidence obtained improperly gets excluded and can expose the client.
Will the subject find out?
Our work is discreet and the large majority of cases conclude without the subject knowing. Total certainty is not something an honest investigator promises. We discuss the risk before starting and adjust methods when a subject is unusually alert or the environment is difficult.
How long does a case take?
Background checks and locates usually come back in two to five business days. Surveillance depends entirely on the subject's pattern, and useful results typically require several sessions across different days and times. A single four hour block rarely proves anything, and we say so rather than take the money.
