Roofing questions homeowners ask
Do I need a new roof or just a repair?
It depends on the age of the roof and whether the damage is isolated. If shingles are curling and losing granules across the whole roof and it is past twenty years, replacement is usually the better spend. A single leak around a pipe boot or a chimney on an otherwise sound roof is a repair, and we will tell you when that is the case.
How long does a replacement take?
A typical Nashville home is one day, occasionally two if the roof is steep, complex or has multiple layers to tear off. We do not start a tear off unless the forecast lets us dry the roof in the same day.
Will my insurance cover it?
Storm damage from wind or hail is often covered, while wear from age is not. We will inspect at no charge, tell you honestly whether a claim is worth filing, and meet your adjuster on the roof so nothing gets missed. We never file a claim on your behalf.
What kind of warranty do I get?
Ten years on our workmanship, which covers installation errors, plus the manufacturer's material warranty on the shingles, typically limited lifetime on architectural products. Both are transferable if you sell the house.
