Two trucks, one family, three decades of coastal soil
Ray Halloran started pumping tanks out of one truck in 1994 and his daughter runs the office today. Coastal Carolina soil and a high water table make this work different from anywhere inland, and we have been reading these systems since before most of the subdivisions went in.

Septic questions we get weekly
How often should I pump my tank?
Every three to five years for a typical family home on a 1,000 gallon tank. Fewer people or a larger tank stretches that out. Garbage disposals, extra laundry and long guest stays shorten it.
What are the warning signs of a failing drainfield?
Slow drains throughout the house, gurgling toilets, soggy or unusually green grass over the field, and sewage odor outside. If pumping fixes it for only a few weeks, the field is the problem, not the tank.
Do I need to find the lid before you arrive?
It helps but is not required. If you have the county permit drawing, send us a photo. Otherwise we probe and dig, which is a separate line item on the invoice.
Are septic additives worth buying?
No. A healthy tank grows the bacteria it needs on its own. What actually helps is keeping wipes, grease, paint and heavy chemicals out of the system and spreading out laundry loads.
