Full ski or board rental
Skis, boots and poles, tuned nightly. Demo gear is $78.

Six students maximum, split by ability at the meeting corral at 10am.

The mountain
Independent, and planning to stay that way
Kettle Ridge has been locally owned since a group of Sandpoint families cut the first runs in 1972. We reinvest in snowmaking and grooming rather than base village condos, which is why the terrain holds up in a thin January. Two of our lift operators have worked here more than twenty seasons.

FAQ
Planning your day
Do I need chains to get up the road?
The access road is plowed and sanded from 4am. Chains or all-wheel drive with snow tires are required when the sheriff posts a traction advisory, which happens a handful of days each winter. We post road status on the conditions page by 6am.
What if the mountain closes for weather?
If we cannot open lifts, advance tickets roll to any other operating day that season. If we close mid-day for wind, we issue a voucher for a future day at the ticket window before you leave.
Is the terrain good for beginners?
Yes. About 30 percent of runs are green, served by their own quad so beginners are not sharing a lift line with expert traffic. The ski school corral sits right at the base of that lift.
When does the season usually run?
We aim to open the week before Thanksgiving and typically run into the first week of April. Opening depends on natural snow plus snowmaking nights below 28 degrees.
