Niacinamide 5% serum, 30ml
Five percent, not ten, because higher rarely tests better and irritates more.
Vitamin C 15% serum, 30ml
L ascorbic acid in an opaque airless pump with a batch date on the base.

A low starting strength meant to be used three nights a week at first.

Fieldnote was started by two formulators who got tired of buying serums with a hero ingredient listed after the preservative. Every product page carries the full INCI list, the active percentage, the batch stability window, and a plain explanation of what the ingredient is expected to do. Skincare questions worth answering
Can I use the vitamin C and the retinal together?
Yes, but not in the same application when you are starting out. Use vitamin C in the morning and retinal at night, which also suits how each one behaves with sunlight. Once your skin is used to both, some people layer them at night without trouble.
How long before I see a difference?
Hydration and texture changes usually show inside two to three weeks. Tone and fine line changes from retinal or niacinamide take closer to twelve weeks of consistent use, which is why the bottles are sized for about that long. Anyone promising a week is selling you a temporary plumping effect.
Why is your niacinamide only five percent?
Ten percent formulas are common because the number sells, but published work does not show a reliable benefit above about five percent and irritation reports climb. We would rather you finish the bottle than abandon it flushed and stinging. If five percent bothers you, alternate days.
What is your return policy if it breaks me out?
Open products can be returned within sixty days for a full refund, one bottle per product. Purging from retinal usually settles by week six, but a true reaction shows up in days and does not calm down. Email a photo and our team will tell you honestly which one it looks like.
