What we make and what is in it
Every bar is roughly 4.5 ounces after cure. Scents are essential oil only unless noted.
Unscented sensitive bar
No fragrance and no colorant, made for reactive skin and for babies.
Exfoliating bar
Ground oatmeal, coffee, or pumice for hands that actually get dirty.
Shampoo bar
Higher castor oil formula for lather, with an apple cider rinse recommendation on the label.

Our workshop
Started because everything at the store dried her hands out
Erin Doyle made her first batch in a kitchen on North Rouse in 2017 after a Montana winter left her hands cracked. The workshop moved into a unit two blocks away in 2021 and now runs about eight batches a week. We buy tallow from a ranch in Belgrade and olive oil by the drum, and we still cut every loaf by hand.

About the soap
Why does handmade soap cost more than store soap?
Most drugstore bars are detergent with the glycerin removed and sold separately. Cold process soap keeps its glycerin, uses whole oils, and sits curing for six weeks before it can be sold, which is six weeks of shelf space and no revenue.
How do I make a bar last longer?
Keep it out of standing water. A draining dish and letting it dry fully between uses will roughly double its life. Cutting a bar in half and keeping one piece dry works even better.
Is there lye in your soap?
All real soap is made with lye, including ours. During saponification the lye fully reacts with the oils, and the six week cure ensures none remains in the finished bar. There is no such thing as soap made without it.
Do you offer wholesale to shops?
Yes, with a 180 dollar opening order. We can ship unlabeled bars for shops that use their own branding. First orders are prepaid and we offer net 30 after that.
