Why we built it
Two dispatchers and an engineer, since 2023
Cadence was started by Marisa Toll and Danny Estes, who ran dispatch at a 22 truck carrier in Commerce City, and Alex Weiss, who built the first version on nights and weekends. We shipped to our first ten paying carriers in 2023 and have been adding features they asked for since.

FAQ
Practical questions
How long does setup take?
Most carriers are live the same day. We do a 45 minute call, import your driver list and current loads, and walk your dispatcher through the board. Drivers install the app in about two minutes.
Does this replace my TMS?
For carriers under about 15 trucks it usually does. Larger fleets keep their TMS and use Cadence for tracking and broker communication, connected through our API.
What if a driver will not use the app?
You can enter stops manually from the dispatch board, and the load still tracks through broker updates. Most holdouts come around once they see it means fewer calls from dispatch.
Is there a contract?
No. It is month to month, you can cancel from inside the dashboard, and we do not require a card for the 14 day trial. Your data exports to CSV whenever you want it.
