About the company
Built by naval architects and drone engineers
Harborline was founded in 2022 by Yusuf Adeyemi, a naval architect who spent nine years at a class society, and Hannah Brecht, who built inspection drones for offshore wind. We are 22 people in Seattle's Fishermen's Terminal district with a test tank in the building. We raised a Series A in 2024 and have surveyed 310 hulls to date.

Common questions
Does this replace a drydock inspection?
Not entirely. It replaces routine underwater inspections and supports in water surveys that class societies accept in place of one of the two required drydockings in a five year cycle. Structural repairs and full coating renewal still need drydock.
What conditions can the drone work in?
It operates in currents up to about 2.5 knots and in visibility down to roughly half a meter, where sonar carries the survey when cameras cannot. Heavy surge at an exposed berth is the main thing that stops us, and we will reschedule rather than deliver a partial scan.
How fast do we get results?
Preliminary findings are available on the topside station before we leave the berth. The full report, with imagery, measurements and a surveyor's notes, is delivered within 48 hours. Fleet program customers get a dashboard that updates as each survey completes.
Do you work outside the West Coast?
Today we operate regularly from San Diego to Vancouver. We mobilize to Gulf and East Coast ports for fleet program customers with travel billed at cost, and we expect a permanent Gulf crew in the coming year.
