About the shop
Nine builders in one shop off Chinden
Casey Lindqvist built his own tiny house in 2013, sold it in a week, and has been building them since. We are nine people in one shop, we build eight to twelve homes a year, and we do not subcontract the framing or the finish. Everything gets built indoors, which is why our winters do not stall a schedule.

Before you build a tiny house
Where can I legally park a tiny house?
That is the hardest part, and it varies by county and city. A tiny house on wheels is usually classified as an RV, which limits where it can be a permanent residence. Some jurisdictions allow them as accessory dwelling units and many do not. Sort out your parking situation before you order a build, and we will tell you what we know about your area.
What does a tiny home actually cost?
Finished homes run $112,000 to $190,000 depending on length, finishes, and whether you go off grid. A weather tight shell starts at $54,000 if you plan to finish it yourself. Off grid solar and water systems add roughly $22,000, and delivery is separate at about $3.10 per mile.
Can I get a loan for one?
Traditional mortgages do not apply, since a tiny house on wheels is not real property. RVIA certified builds qualify for RV loans through several lenders, which is the main reason we offer that certification. Others use personal loans or a home equity line on an existing property.
Will it hold up in a cold climate?
Ours are built for it: R-28 walls, R-38 roof, and a continuous air barrier with a ventilation strategy, because a tightly sealed small space without ventilation gets damp fast. Many tiny homes sold online are built for mild climates and will condense and mold through an Idaho winter.
