Dana opened Meridian Lane in 2011 after a decade at a large agency where clients were passed between whoever picked up. Here, one advisor takes your first call and is still the person you text from an airport in Lisbon. We book roughly 300 trips a year, which is enough to keep supplier relationships warm and small enough to know your file by heart.

Questions before you call
Why pay a planning fee when booking sites are free?
The fee covers research time, usually 8 to 15 hours on a custom itinerary. It is credited back against bookings made through us, and hotel perks like room upgrades and breakfast often exceed it.
Can you beat the price I found online?
Sometimes, and we will tell you honestly when we cannot. On hotels and cruises we are usually at or below the public rate with extras added. On bare airfare, a discount site may win, and we will say so.
What happens if something goes wrong mid-trip?
You have a direct mobile number, not a queue. We rebook flights, chase hotels and deal with suppliers in their time zone while you sit down and have a coffee.
How far ahead should I book?
Six to nine months for peak-season Europe, Japan cherry blossom and holiday weeks. Cruises with specific cabins go a year out. Shoulder-season trips can come together in six weeks.
